Rules for Posting to the F-HYPDRR Mailing List
The F-HYPDRR mailing list is a moderated discussion mailing list
dedicated to discussing XLH. In order that everyone can feel
comfortable to participate there are certain rules which we require
all members to follow.
You may not post messages which are:
-
abusive, vulgar, obscene, hateful, fraudulent, threatening,
harassing, defamatory
- post or transmit sexually explicit material
-
impersonate any person, or falsely state or otherwise represent
your affiliation with a person or entity
-
post or transmit any advertising, promotional materials, or other
forms of solicitation including chain letters and pyramid schemes
-
post or transmit any file that contains viruses, corrupted files,
"Trojan Horses", or any other contaminating or destructive
features that may damage someone else's computer. F-HYPDRR does
not accept file attachments at all.
-
When responding to someone else's post, please do not enclose
the prior post as part of your response. Instead you can include
the portion of the post that you find useful, or simply refer
to the e-mail directly. All e-mail messages are being archived
for searching by members and these duplicate posts can become
confusing and take up additional storage space. Additionally,
it is easier on everyone's mailbox if the posts to F-HYPDRR are
kept small in size. We do have a size limit on the size of posted
messages for this same reason
-
Responses to posts on the F-HYPDRR mailing list by default go
directly to the entire mailing list. In order to limit the number
of e-mail messages members get, please decide if is best to
e-mail responses directly to a member instead of the entire
list. Examples of e-mails that are best sent directly to a member
are congratulations notes, responses for a poll etc.
