Members Web Space

The XLH Network Inc. members have access to a Members Web Space which provides easy access to information important to The XLH Network Inc. members. Information available within this secure web space include:

  • Search engine access as well as chronological access to all of the e-mail archives of F-HYPDRR mailing list
  • The Members Directory in which members can share information about themselves
  • A members chatspace in which The XLH Network Inc. members and medical professionals periodically come together to discuss specific topics. Scheduled chats are promoted in the members web spce.
  • Formally collated summaries of issues important to The XLH Network inc. community, and useful news columns and other important notes and information. Summaries include information and bibliogrophies of important issues to our members.
  • The ability for members to request information about medical specialists in your local area
  • Information about regional member gatherings and seminars is shared on the members web space.

XLH is also known as X-Linked Hypophosphatemia (sometimes also spelled as hypophosphataemia), X-Linked Hypophosphatemic Rickets, Familial Hypophosphatemia, Vitamin D-Resistant Rickets (VDRR) Rickets and even Genetic Rickets. Its notable characteristics are bowed legs, short stature, poor teeth formation causing spotaneous dental abscesses, and low blood phosphorus levels.
